Vitax Pelleted Conifer & Shrub Fertiliser is a specialist feed designed for acid-loving plants, providing essential nutrients and trace elements to support healthy establishment, strong root development, and vigorous growth.
This long-trusted formula has been used by commercial nurseries for many years, with a slow, extended nitrogen release that feeds plants gradually as they grow.
Ideal for conifers, shrubs, azaleas, rhododendrons, and other ericaceous plants.

Where to use:
General Application
- Apply evenly to moist soil where possible.
- Lightly fork into the soil surface
- Water in during dry conditions
Planting conifers & shrubs
15-20cm (6-8") containers or bare-root plants:
- Apply 60g (approx. 2oz) per plant.
- Sprinkle some into the planting hole and mix the rest with backfill soil.
Larger container stock (over 20cm):
- Apply 60g to the bottom of the planting hole.
- Mix an additional 60g into the fill-in soil.
Trees (Ornamental & Fruit)
- Apply 900g (2lb) per tree when planting.
- Apply 350g (12ox) into the planting hole.
- Mix the remainder with backfill soil and firm in well.
Azaleas & Rhododendrons
- Very low nutrient requirement
- Do NOT fertilise before planting.
- Mix peat into the planting soil instead.
- Apply a light top dressing only, max 30g (1oz) per shrub per year.
Top Dressing (Established Plants)
- Apply in spring following planting.
- Sprinkle 60g (2oz) evenly under branches.
- Lightly fork in
- Soil should be moist, water lightly if dry.
Ongoing Feeding
Early spring (March):
- Plants up to 60cm: 60g
- Plants 90-120cm: 120g
- Standard trees: 180g
Repeat application late June to early July.
Increase feeding amounts as plants mature.
Coverage Guide:
- 1 gloved handful = 60g (2oz)
- Adjust amounts as plants increase in size.
